Didn't get a picture but we saw the first elk of the trip. There was a heard of probably 100 elk right at the Colorado/Wyoming line.

If they are doing the south slope unit near Vernal it is an any elk general unit.

I don't know if I missed this or not. But are you hunting a general elk tag or a limited unit?

Just ate a steak dinner with my girls in Cheyenne. Headed back to the trailer to get some more sleep. Leaving at daylight in the morning. Planning on being on the mountain by noon and getting camp set up.

Good luck to ya. I've got buddies that got there yesterday to do a lil scouting and fishing before Sat. I haven't been since 14 but my buddies have been whacking em up there every year.
