    Planting acorns

I gathered up a 5 gallon bucket of acorns from live oaks here at the house.

I want to plant them at our property in Washington County.

    Anyone with experience planting acorns?

When would be the best time to plant and how deep?

    Thanks

Don't plant the ones that float.

The ones that I have planted, keep them in a fridge with damp soil/mulch until February, take them out of fridge and keep in a warmer place and they will start to sprout. Plant them once you can see the sprouts, about a squirrel arm deep.

              They grow pretty fast.
