                  Congrats.

I shot a doe w/a Ramcat opening a.m. "thought" I smoked her. Shot looked like top of the heart. Right where the pin was. She did duck into it some but........... Arrow covered in blood. Faint bloodtrail 100 yards. Brought in a dog. No luck. I expected her to be lying w/in 50 yards. I'm at a loss for an explanation. Brand new razor sharp outta the pk. I just don't know...............

The explanation of shot & blood trail seems to me that arrow hot above lungs but below spine and main artery.Same scenario happened to my buddy with a crossbow last year at my dad's ranch. We searched for an hour and a half.I consider myself a pretty good tracker since I've been tracked wounded animals for 30 years. Maybe you will see the doe again feeding.
