    RV water heater help needed

    It's a self lighting heater.
    Pilot light lights stays lit but the main gas burner won't come on.
    Any ideas?

    Did you check and see if the gas valve is getting power?

      If you have electricity, you might consider putting in a electric conversion kit:

        I wouldn't use the gas on that one. Put in a hot rod and be done. Super easy and cost about 100 bucks

          That's not the pilot. That is the main line, not getting enough pressure. At least every one I've fooled with that is not the pilot.

            Make sure that that tube is not clogged in the curved part. Spiders get in there and make a cotton like nest and it will block the gas flow. I have seen that happen several times.

                Seems like mine has to have a good 12 volt battery to light,plunged into 120 would not work.

                  Take the curved hose off and blow out with compressed air. That is your main gas line. Clogged with dirt rubber or spider nest. I dont believe the electrics have a pilot since they have a sparker.

                        Try a different propane bottle. Had one in my grill once that wouldnt put out any pressure.

                            That is not where your pilot should be it should be at the end of the curved tube where the ignitor is ,you must have a plugged up up gas line
