    Some knives I just made.

I have to give credit to you knife makers. A lot of hours went into these knives. They are made pretty much by hand. All I had was an angle grinder, some files and sand paper. The wood was ripped on a table saw. I really needed a table belt grinder/sander and drill press.

Looks good. I really like the mesquite handles. Where did you get the wood? Did you put any type of coating on the handles?

It's just dead mesquite wood, if you find a knot or burl it gives the swirly lines like the thrid pic, I coated it in tongue oil.

Good job keep it up; that mesquite does look good. I have a tree at P.K. that was full of Burl, that poor tree now looks like it was part of the P.K. fires.

Here's some of that Mesquite from P.K.

That is an awesome looking knife, Dingus. I was surprised on how some old dead mesquite can turn out so pretty.

Burl wood of just about any species is usually beautiful--I have a local business that builds custom mesquite furniture and I have picked through their scrap/burn pile and come up with some knock-out knife scales--
