We leave it cocked for the hunt and I shoot it at the end of the hunt with a practice arrow. Typically it’s cocked for about 24 hours in a weekend hunt which I read is okay to do.

I was just curious. I bought a decocking arrow but it says to shoot at the ground but not at rock, which is virtually impossible at my lease.


I like the small target idea with a practice arrow.

Sheriff's office should have someone that can handle the cow situation. They might even pick it up and haul it away for ya.

It was another no kill weekend but it’s always good to be out there. We had a lot of activity around our place this weekend with guys shooting a lot of guns mostly during hunting primetimes. I’m not sure how that extra activity affected us this weekend but it was definitely not the norm. I only got a couple of days of pictures before that cow knocked down all my trail cameras earlier in the week. We still have good deer coming in, it just hasn’t worked out. The culprit.



Looking back through the weekend this is one of my favorite pics. Stan loves being out there.

Traveling for work doesn’t always suck. Settled in for my first hunt as the shooter of the year. I’m breaking out my new Franchi Momentum in 308. I’m looking for pigs unless a Wilson buck comes out.
