Started on a new blind for the new lease

Well it's been 5 yrs since I've had a lease and luckily a spot came open on my brother-in-laws lease with his buddies (I've met/hunted with them before) and they are a good group of guys. Plus is family friendly. This weekend me and my old man started on a 6x6 rifle blind so the whole fam could pile in if we wanted. We used 2x6's from his 30' deck we pulled apart within the last 2 weeks. The deck was built in 91' and 95% of the wood was still in great condition. My dad is a stickler on things and he sealed that deck every year. Crazy how long it lasted.
Unfortunately I was the only one that took a pic of the work (odd because my dad said he took a few, but can't find them on his iphone). Oh well...

I'm going to finish the exterior walls with treated fence pickets. The roof, haven't decided yet, either tin or an 8' spun aluminum satellite dish I have.

How tall should I make the windows? 10"? 8"?

Once this one is completed. My 6x5 unfinished bow blind will be next.

That will handle a lot of weight without moving. Speaking of weight what poundage bow do you shoot? It will handle that weight as well, LOL. Looks great!

Love a good deer stand build, great to see PawPaw running the drill and the family helping out! I'd go 10" on the windows. Should be a lot of good memories shared from that stand!
