Broken mount on Nikon 18-105 "kit" lens.

I went to shoot my daughter's nursing school graduation Sunday and noticed that the plastic mount for my kit lens had broken.

I found this on amazon. Is this the correct part to fix it and how difficult is it to fix? Does anyone offer a metal replacement mount rather than plastic?

I'm no help on repairs but I'll follow this to see the conclusion.

On thing I can add though is if it still mounts it might still work.

I broke part of mine on my 70-200 but it still works.

Leggy I can hold it in place and it will shoot but it will fall off if I don't hold it in place.

It appears to be a pretty common issue with the plastic mount kit lens. I am sure there are YouTube videos on how to do it. If so, it looks to be a pretty cheap fix.
