Last week I made a very poor shot on a doe. I hit her pretty far back near the end of her rib cage or maybe a bit further. She ran off like nothing was wrong. She didn’t hunch up or anything like that. I found my arrow and it was covered in blood/bile/crap but she didn’t bleed at all. I found 2 tiny specks of blood within 10 feet of where she was standing and I followed the trail she was on for 100 yards. Fast forward to yesterday I got pics from my trail cam that appeared to be the same doe with a dark spot in the same area my arrow hit. Maybe it’s brief blood? Maybe it’s coincidence that this doe looked similar. What are the chances?
