PM, me if you need a hotel in Dallas. I can help you out with all questions as can my staff. I am a lifelong Dallasite agree with the Ft Worth recommendations. Just know that is a very busy weekend in Dallas, so rates are pretty high.
Not far down the road is Cowboy Stadium, tours are kinda neat. There are numerous museums in Dallas and the Aquarium is neat. I don't think the Mavericks are in town but the Stars might be. Usually tons of concerts etc. If you like to gamble you can go to the WinStar just across the Oklahoma border, very large casino. Probably plenty of shows etc that weekend. I've stayed downtown numerous times with no issues at all. The Omni is very nice and there are plenty of others.
I'm spending the week in Greenville for training/work then plan to get a hotel close to the center of Dallas during the weekend so the gf and I can get around more easily. We're not high maintenance, mostly laid back. Any unique bars/restaurants/attractions are appreciated.
First things first, I would recommend looking at the hotel options ASAP as there is a national cheerleading competition going on this weekend at the convention center so a lot of hotels are booked!
Is there a difference. Post office worker was shot and killed on I30 yesterday.
Wasn’t there a armed suspect shot by police just a night or so ago in Denton? Bad things happen everyday don’t over think it or be scared. I have never been worried in either location.Plenty of cool things to do it just depends on what you’re looking for. Staying downtown would be a good idea and spend some time in both Dallas and Ft worth would be fun. It’s 30 minutes away as much as the Ft worth guys like to talk. Several good bars and restaurants listed above. Several cool spots on lower Greenville avenue as well. Again it depends on what you’re looking for. Uptown is a bit more uppity but good food, Greenville ave. is a little more low key with good food and bars. My preference personally.
