The trigger will get better after about 300 + rounds are run through it. Then take it to a good gunsmith to have him smooth everything out.

Mine carries PMS also, only about two days a month where she doesn't have it on hand and far deadlier than anything that would fit in her purse.

The Bersa is a good gun, but I would get her a Glock 43. its small and has a good trigger. Plus holsters and accessories are plentiful.

Believe me when I say I was that way about Taurus for years. That being said, the TCP is a solid firearm...trust me.
