    Couple old guns.

I’ve seen these guns since I was a little kid. I’m 42 now and they belonged to my great great grandfather. My grandpa had them for the longest time and then they went to my Dad. Unfortunately he passed away very unexpectedly back in July of this year. He was just 66 and had retired in April and only got to enjoy about 3 months of retired life. Anyway, the story as it was told to me is that my GGGrandpq was some sort of a lawman in TN I believe and carried both of these at some point in time. Either way, I wish they weren’t mine yet but it is what it is and a cool piece of family history to have. Both looked to been used rather extensively.

Marlin Safety .30-30 with octagon barrel.

Lefever double barrel shotgun. Looks to be 16g. Looks like Lefever only existed from 1883 to 1916.

Yep. I’m going to be working on a display case for them and hang in my home office.

Sorry to hear about your dad. I would love to see a picture of the guns in the display case when it is finished. Those are two very cool, very special family heirlooms.
