223 Wylde ?

Changed out my AR 15 ,5.56 barrel for a 223 Wylde barrel and I am having trouble with the cycling. The gun will eject the spent case but isn’t picking up a loaded round, do I need to change the buffer spring?

What magazine are you using?
What ammo ?

I have an Eagle Arms (made by armalite) 223 wylde and i run a Pmag with 223 rem 55 gr. Federal fmj.
No issues from 700 or so rounds and pretty accurate as well

Possibly not enough gas to cycle. Of course it could be a buffer as well. I'd clean the heck out of everything first. Make sure the gas block is properly aligned, then if I still had problems I would check the buffer.

PMag is the only magazines I’ll use, the gun got a thorough cleaning before we rebarreled it and I’m shooting 69 grain reload rounds that are pretty hot. Gas block and gas tube came with the barrel so that shouldn’t be the problem. I’m stumped!

Pulled the whole gun apart and cleaned everything including the buffer, now it seems to be working right. I fired 20 rounds and cleaned it now tonight it’s hog time!
