As usual Thanksgiving night we loaded up and headed west to Del Rio for a 3 day hunt with our good friends at TC Outfitters on their Doak ranch. We had 4 youth hunters with us that were all looking to take a management buck. Our first hunt on Friday afternoon turned out to be pretty awesome as my 15 year old cousin was able to kill his first deer with a bow, a nice 8 pt. Saturday morning proved no different for 2 other youths as they each got themselves 8 pts as well. Does weren't hitting the feeders very well, the bucks kept them run off. At one of the stands I got to watch a nice 8 pt and large cull 4 pt fight for several minutes before the smaller buck ended up running out of field. Later during the hunt the last youth hunter also got a nice 8 pt with his main beams almost coming together and touching. These were great memories made this year and look forward to doing it again next season!
