Default A Wagon Wheel / Front Porch Project

I'm trying to make the front of the house a little more appealing. I found the wheels at an antique show. I bought them not really knowing what I was going to do with them. After getting them home is when the idea came to mind. I started with two of these.

Cutting them was definitely easier said then done. The hubs of the wheels are cast iron. Carbide tipped sawzall blades and lots of cutting fluid did the trick on the hubs. I used a band saw on the outer rings.

I then welded on tabs (square unistrut washers) to each end of the wheel quarters.

Got my vice mounted to the new fab table while I had the welding machine out.

Nice, like that setup! Big porch is awesome. What's the shop and living footage configuration?

The wagon wheels add a nice touch, but I'm more impressed with the vise mounted on the hitch. Good idea !

Thanks, but that was an idea that someone recommended on here! Glad they did because itís great being able to move it out of the way.
