    Redneck A/C Cletus style REVISTED

Many of you watched the last build, so I hope you will watch this one as well.
This one will be a different style and may or may not work as good or better.
Heck it may not work at all Like I stated in the other build I have plenty of old coolers laying around to play with different styles. I'll model this one after the one in this thread.

I'll use the same vents as my other one but will use a different fan. Sit back and enjoy the build

Here's a link to the first build.

Hole for the fan is cut. Notice there is not any insulation in the lid of this cheap ice chest. I may have to get a small brute or yeti to build the next one.(JK)

Where did you get the heater core?
          How much?
What model car is it for?
With that fan, you need a larger diameter vent pipe. should be same as, or close to fan diameter. the small vent is restricting the air flow.
Does that fan have a varible speed switch?

Well hit a road block. I filled the lid with "great stuff". I also squirted the "great stuff" all around the hole on the inside to give the heater core a flat surface to mount against. I'll have to let the "great stuff" set up before I can do anything else.

I used an old piece of plexiglas and some 12 volt batteries to put weight against the "great stuff" so I can manipulate it to how I want it. I'll have to do a little trimming but that's not a problem.

I got the heater core at O'Riley's for $24. It's for a ford escort. Don't get a Chevrolet core because they are $40.
I also go the fan at O'Riley's for $15 and it's a 2 speed fan. The fan is pretty noisy on high and I don't see myself using it on high.
I'm putting 2 2" vents to start with but will probably add a third to help with air flow.

I didn't really keep track of the cost on the other one so I'm trying to on this one.

Ok, got the "great stuff" cut out of the fan hole now. I just epoxied the fan to the lid so I'll give some time to set up before I attempt to attach the heater core. May be tomorrow because I should give the epoxy at least 24 hours to get a full strength set up. I have to leave it un disturbed for at least 20 minutes. Here's a current pic.
