My son has a youth tag this yr. I'd like to try to get him on a deer. I've never stepped foot on gv due to not being drawn. For the next few days or weeks I guess I'm gona be putting in some ground work for him. He's 6. If someone can will u pm me places to park and not get a ticket or get towed. I can walk. I'd appreciate it.

Thanks. Anymore parking suggestion of greatly appreciate. Got him his first hunting license today. He was really excited. He told the lady at academy now he can keep his fish he catches. Love my crazy kids

I've never hunted Grapevine (didn't know you could to be honest) but I have seen some monsters early in the AM right around 2499 headed to work before. Some of y'all get touchy, you'd think it was your land or something!

yes, some people get very touchy on here about Grapevine.
Around 2499 is a no deer hunting area, that's where they all go, therefore "there are no deer on Grapevine"

I've seen dead deer on the side of 2499 recently but none on the hoof.

My brother and buddy both got a draw. Would have been me but I had to go back to the truck to get my hunters ed card!! dang them!! hahaha. Stoked they got one though. I guess ill be the videographer this year!! Good luck to all those who got a draw and here is to those of you that will not pick up your tag, and then i can get the redraw!!! T

They need to go to one app per person, not send a buddy and list 5 more people to get a tag. You should have to go up there in person like I do stand in line and take your chances. It would make it more of a fair way to do things. Well my son's got a youth tag so il be out there trying to help him get one. Thank goodness I own land.

I'm pulling for the redraw, but I'm not counting on it. Normally around 100 people don't pick up permits. So about 50 more people should get drawn on November 3rd.

I see too that you can't hunt until 10/21. That's almost a month after season opens. Crazy to have to wait that long.

Congrats to those drawn! Especially the one's that have never been drawn. Good luck chasing those make believe deer
