There used to be a very popular sayin around here.

"Aim for the exit hole!"

combined with what Jbone is saying is what I do, picture the path of the arrow through the animal (aim for the exit hole) and make sure that path travels through "the zone"

Well I hate to be the first complainer from the group, while these videos are educational and relevant and all that, they're getting into my pocket. My son has 2 tracking dogs, and we really are entertained by the "perfect shot" stories. Just yanking on chains, these are good things to know and I honestly do wish more people would watch, listen and learn.

Agreed, and there were several shots where the deer had his leg forward and they still wanted the shot further back than I would shoot.

With all the pigs I got coming in I need a to brush up on my hog sticking.

The gut shot where you retrieve your arrow and dont have to worry about some stinky hog breaking your good arrows or dead around your stuff!
