    Bear

I tried some bear last night for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. I cooked it overnight with carrots, onion, potatos, jalapenos in a crok pot on low heat. I also added some fresh garlic, salt, pepper, and a little bit of Louisiana hot sauce.

Then made some cornbread with a sprinkle of brown sugar.

I had heard horror stories of the way bear tasted but it was pretty good.

A few years ago my friend and I each shot a bear in NM. We ate it every way we could think of. We had about 25 pounds of meat left so we mixed it half and half with wild pork and made sausage. It turned out **** good.
