    Adding a TBH Logo/Watermark in Windows Movie Maker

    I've been looking for a way to do this and came across a thread on the Movie Maker Forum and also found a short video explaining how to do the same.

    Essentially, you go into C:\ProgramFiles\Movie Maker\Shared\ and create a new directory called AddOnTFX in that directory you place your logo gif file and another xml file with the following code (attached below is an xml file with the code already inserted):

    <TransitionsAndEffects Version="1.0">
    <Titles>
    <TitleDLL guid="{353359C1-39E1-491b-9951-464FD8AB071C}">
    <Title name="@My Logo" iconid="13" comment="http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/Forums/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=12624">
    <Param name="InternalName" value="TitleMultiTitles"/>
    <Param name="Description" value="Puts mylogo.gif in bottom right corner"/>
    <Param name="LogoBitmapFilename" value="AddOnTFX\tbhlogo.gif"/>
    <Param name="LogoRect" value="0.7 0.8 0.3 0.18"/>
    comment= Original LogoRect was value="0.8 0.8 0.2 0.2"/
    <Paragraph>
    <Param name="IsOneLine" value="true"/>
    <Param name="BoundingRect" value="0.1 0.075 0.8 0.15"/>
    <Param name="MaxCharacterCount" value="32"/>
    </Paragraph>
    <Paragraph>
    <Param name="IsOneLine" value="true"/>
    <Param name="BoundingRect" value="0.1 0.25 0.8 0.1"/>
    <Param name="MaxCharacterCount" value="32"/>
    </Paragraph>
    </Title>
    </TitleDLL>
    </Titles>
    </TransitionsAndEffects>
    Where tbhlogo.gif is the name of your logo file.

    After you've done this, restart WMM and then go to "Make titles or credits" and then "add title on selected clip". Simply enter one space for text and then click "change title animation" and look under "Titles, Two Lines" for the "@My Logo" and click it then "Done, add title to movie".

    Once the title overlay is in the Timeline, stretch it out for the entire video length.

    If any of this is unclear, watch the video posted above and it goes through the same step by step. I've attached the tbh logo & xml file for anyone to use.

    Now, the only problem I have is that this xml code seems to distort the TBH logo and the inserted image looks like this:

    Click image for larger version

Name:	HogVidPreview.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	40.9 KB
ID:	24722166

    Anyone know how to edit the xml code so that it does not distort the tbh image?

      Sorry, Travis, but that's about as good as I can explain it. Try watching the video a few times and it walks you through the process step by step as well.

      I did find this on the xml file:

      You can adjust the position of the logo by modifying the LogoRect
      <Param name="LogoRect" value="0.8 0.8 0.2 0.2"/>
      Here 0.8 0.8 is the X,Y relative coordinates of the top left of the logo where 0 0 is the top left and 1 1 is the bottom right.
      0.2 0.2 is the length in the X and Y direction.
      I'm messing with these parameters to try and get the TBH logo on there correctly.

        Think I got it. If you change the original line:
        <Param name="LogoRect" value="0.8 0.8 0.2 0.2"/>
        to:
        <Param name="LogoRect" value="0.7 0.8 0.3 0.18"/>

        It seems to place the tbhlogo without distortion and in a good proportional location.

        I reloaded the xml file in the first post of this thread to make that change, so it should be good.

                  That hurts my head. I'll have to try it at the house with a few beers under my belt.

                    Another thing you can do, and I believe that Windows Movie Maker will allow this, but you put in as a seperate video line with a transparent background. You can stretch it all the way accross the main video line and it will show. You can even pull the opacity (sp) down and have it as a faded or water mark image in the video. I think WMM does this, it has been a while, but I know the other editing programs do, it is pretty standard.

                      So how do you create a new directory? Is it just a new file and you type in the info in your first post?

                            This was real easy to do. If any body wants a step by step, PM me.
                            Thanks Devin!
