Find you a good pin oak dropping and it's better than a corn feeder.

I hear ya. The pin oak bottoms I hunt are the same way. They will feed under some more than others. All about finding the right ones.

I’ve seen very few acorns here in East Texas this year. There may be some way up high I can’t see, but I think the lack of rain has hurt the mast crop from what I can tell. And I have a stand located in an oak flat because normally it has acorns...we’ll see

No doubt. I hunted the oaks plenty the last few years but there are too many that are producing.

This was in my backyard in Conroe. Curious to see what the lease is looking like in ETX.

My 55 acres are covered in Red Oaks...they are everywhere.

I may need to hunt out of the loft in my cabin. My best Oak is 25 yards from my deck.

They've been falling at my house for over a week. I thought when I moved in that having 20+ oaks was a good thing and I was planning on bagging them and taking them to the lease. Problem is that they are falling now due to a squirrel. He's basically taking a bite and tossing the other half.
