So I have a 2 year old AKC lab..... bought her from a TBH’r when she was 8 weeks. She is an incredible puppy. She is the center of our family.
Yesterday morning her nose started bleeding on one side. Not a little...... A lot !
I took her to a local vet, they couldn’t see any cuts, blood work and labs came back normal and really weren’t equipped to do anymore ($175). They did put drops in her nose that is supposed to help stop bleeding.
They said if it’s still bleeding in 3 or 4 hours to take her to an ER.
I took her back home and hoped it would stop. 3 hrs later and our house covered in blood I took her to the dog ER hospital.
A 15 minute ride to the ER
10 hours later
A long night..... bleeding has stopped.
The best guess..... either she snorted up a piece of glass or bone or pecan shell or a cancer/ tumor ruptured.
We are about a $1K deep right now.
Rynoscope and removal is another $2500 if it’s a foreign object.
If it’s cancer, I don’t even want to think about it.
