    Crawfish

I'm having a boil on 3/12. Was curious what everyone uses? What spices? What veggies? What size pot...

Just saw a video on FB from Southern Boyz that was pretty good for a boil.

In to see what everyone else puts in I use a lot of what paigers01 listed. I have also thrown in eggs and asparagus a lot just depends on who's coming though. If I people that don't do bugs a lot I will put in more extras for them to snack on.

Also forgot to mention that your veggies wil tend to suck a lot of seasoning

Clean craws, and no purge. Boil in clean water. Season in the cooler. That's the key for me. The rest is personal preference.

To me one of the most important things is to wash crawfish with running water, do NOT purge with salt.

Mine is almost exactly like Southern Boyz Outdoors. I use large pot, add small red potatoes, Zatarain's powder, liquid and sacks of boil mix. Lemons and onions cut in half, and garlic. I bring to a boil and add crawfish, bring back to boil and cook for 5 minutes. Turn off the burner and add extras. I like mushrooms, asparagus, corn, and edamame. I drop in a used frozen Gatorade bottle filled with water. I let sit until corn is cooked or longer depending on spice levels desired. I sprinkle with a Tony's and sugar mix and serve with melted butter.

Iv put broccoli in a few times. It's good but doesn't take long in boiling water before it trys to fall apart
