Tips for Going to CWS in Omaha??

Has anyone been that could give some pointers? The brackets aren't finished yet so I don't know which game to buy tickets to.. All I know so far is I do have hotel reservations and Tech will play Tcu/aggy winner. Going to drive up and hopefully catch 2 tech games before coming back.

Some people say to buy tickets there, hear GA was good for young ones? It'll be my wife, 5yr old and 3yr old. They go to all the football games so do well with the crowded atmospheres.

Any pointers would be much appreciated. Worse come to worse I'll just cancel the reservations, but would really want to go If it seems worth it.

Definitely worth it???? I have not gone but know 2 guys that have. LOVED it, NO issues just another big sporting event like any other on the collegiate level. Omaha is a nice place with great steakhouses and friendly folks. Cant imagine what would not make this a good trip? Maybe I am missing something.

I guess just securing tickets without paying hundreds over face value for each ticket is my only draw back.

You won't pay hundreds over face value , scalping at inflated prices is highly frowned upon by Omaha locals

Buy tix on StubHub early or buy outside TD Ameritrade which seats 25K

We always bought them from scalpers and paid around 10-15% over face value... The championship series was a whole nother deal... Gonna pay if you buy them outside.

Call 402 341-1500. It's the main ticket office at Ameritrade Park in Omaha. I just purchased a book of 10 general admission tickets for a total of $90. Give them credit card info and they'll have your tickets waiting for you at 'will call'. So, you don't have to break the bank to see great baseball.

This will be my 4th trip. Good luck. Hollar if you need more info. Go Frogs!

I have been several times, but this is my first trip to the new stadium.

I have heard tickets are easier as the ball park is bigger than at the Blatt. With that being said, we never had an issue buying tickets in front of the stadium for around face. Most of the locals are willing to make you a good deal on tickets. With that being said, since its my wife first trip and she is a Red Raider, I am thinking about over paying for some really good seats for her. I am still waiting to hear back on my hookup for tickets so that could help me out too.

I would never sit in GA admission. I just never wanted to wait in line for 2 hours and at Rosenblatt was pretty bad sun in Right field / 1st Base Line Outfield would catch terrible sun. Looking at the new stadium it looks like the, left field would catch it pretty good so I would check the sun direction out if I was going to sit in GA to make sure you didn't bake. With little ones, I wouldn't want to wait in line either.

It is an easy drive, so no issues there.

The Omaha Zoo is a great option for the kids in the morning before the games. The casinos in Council Bluff just a few miles away are great options for the adults at night.

The CWS is a great trip. I would do whatever I had to do to make it if I was you. There will be lots to do around the stadium with fan fest as well.

Just after posting I would probably over pay for tickets, I just did.

Found an awesome pair of tickets 11 rows up from the plate for the Tech / TCU game. Currently looking at the tickets available online I got a crazy good deal. This is the first time I have tickets in hand going to Omaha.

We went 2 years ago when UT, TCU and TT made it. Great family trip that we still talk about and will definitley go back again soon. We bought general admission seats did $8-10 each. It's first come first serve in the outfield but it saved some money since the room prices for hotel were ridiculous. I have 2 boys so they really loved the fan fest stuff going on around the stadium. Very family friendly atmosphere. Our hotel was several miles away but had free shuttle to and from games so that saved $20 parking each time. PM me if there is anything else I can help with. Oh, almost forgot, Omaha zoo is amazing!!!! If your family likes going to the zoo, DO NOT MISS IT! Might not be for everyone but my whole family loved it. Friday is opening ceremony at the park, it's free and put on a good firework show. Our next trip will go up a day or 2 early to watch practices at the field. Coach

If you sit in outfield, go to left field so you can see the Jumbotron without turning all the way around. It is in right field.

I refuse to sit in GA but I'm sure others can use the advice. Do you look into the sun in the outfield?

It looks that way based on the layout and what I remember from Rosenblatt

i called and bought tickets to the tech-tcu winner and loser game (game 7 and 8), probably will only go to the tech game so if any tcu fans going ill sell them for what I paid for them--4 tickets @ $39.

Now to decide what to do for sundays game..GA or try to pickup regular tickets outside the stadium
