It was just one of the close up pics that I had of the detail of table top.
The knife was actually a handmade birthday gift from a member on here : sierracharlie338

I never realized that you literally distress the wood yourself...beat it with a chain and walked on the wood in gravel...sounds like a torture chamber!

Spot on! Chain binder to beat it. Also used a hammer, then hammered on some screws that were laid sideways. Grinding wheel did the lines.

OR, y’all could show your wives pictures so that she has y’all build one. Just throwing ideas out haha.

For future projects, you might want to get a bigger saw.

Haha Nope, I made every last one of those cuts with that bad boy

Respect for doing it with a hand saw.

I was just joking about that. That saw is my son’s. We just used it to distress the wood.

Well done, sir. Gotta ask, how heavy is it?

That's a very nice table. Your wife did what mine does, call your bluff on projects on the honey do list. If I don't jump on it when she does that, she'll go buy it.

Good job on getting your son working with his hands!

Skills like this will serve him a lifetime - he won't have to depend on others because he'll be able to do things himself.
