Default Time to make the donuts!!!!

Headed back to Rayburn this morning. Crappie tourney tomorrow. Weather looks lousy but maybe we can get some fishing in before it gets too bad. Be lucky to have 9 pounds after the last trip there but catching fish shouldn't be a problem! Went down there for the first time ever 2 weeks ago and caught 350 in 2 days!! Time to hide crappie!! I'm headed to your town!!!

Mid 20s. Threw back one good white crappie.

Fishing buddy is throwing up this morning. Surely he's not sick of catching fish already. Momma might come get him later. He said he's not ready to quit yet.

They've been here fishing since Wed. It's not bad at all. Ended with 46 in the cooler and threw back some decent ones. Maybe 8.5-9 pounds. Gonna get clobbered tomorrow with that but we're gonna have fun anyhow. Momma come and got little man. He was having a rough day. He's upset about missing out on staying in the cabin and fishing the tourney. Guess we're gonna hafta come back. Prolly caught 250-300 fish today. Can't complain about that I guess.

100 fish iced and headed home. Real happy with second. We figured we were gonna get pummeled today. Man big fish were hard to come by. 2nd place and $650. Rayburn is the easiest lake I've ever fished to catch crappie. Man they're everywhere. Caught at least 200 fish each day last 2 days.

Big lake little crappie!! Guys that won are the best in Texas hands down. Was blown away we had second. Guess everybody else struggled too. Off to Richland Chambers next month. Never been there before. Currently trying to figure out where I can run and can't! Sounds like it's full of random big stumps right under the surface.

Did you ever try that fryer out to see if the heating issue was resolved?

No but I'm glad you said something! I cleaned a ton of soot out of the pipes. IDK how soot would build up in a propane cooker but it did! Guess that means I gotta go catch a few slabs next day or two and fry em up to make sure!

We went to Sam Rayburn last year on a guided trip for my father in law's Bday/Fathersday and took 3 limits of crappie. We are all set to do so again in June, hope it works out the same!

Just seeing this, looks like a good time! At least you made enough scratch to cover your cabin rental!

The first place team is from my home town. I work with one of them. They are some crappie catching machines.

Yep! The boat lanes were awesome! That lake has random huge stumps all over. Some real close to the boat lane. Buddy about hit one 50yds or so N of the bridge running down the bridge Friday morning. Said it was enough for him to come off plane and idle till he got back to the trail!

I bet I know which one he is talking about. I saw it last time I was over there, real close to the Eastern end of the bridge.

It would scare you to see what is under you even in the lanes. During the drought it was all exposed.
