    First deer of the season!!!

Left the rig on Wednesday morning and headed to the hospital to be with my family during my moms surgery. Surgery was a success and my mom was home Thursday resting in her own house. I decided to go get in a tree yesterday afternoon, It was slow right up until dark when a doe and two yearlings showed up. It was almost to dark to see but the doe gave me a perfect quartering away shot at 10 yrds. I drew, found anchor and released the arrow. I watched the Nocturnal slide right into the business of the old doe. She was dead on her feet, she went about 60 yrds and was drained out!! I forgot what that feeling felt like and boy did it feel good. I was shooting my 60" Bob Lee takedown 51# @ 28" full length Goldtip 35/55 with a 125 grn Muzzy 3 blade. Took out lungs and heart with one heck of a blood trail.
