Here's some pretty graphic pics which show why I shoot'em in the hips, if I take a broadside shot. I shot this bird at 6 steps in full strut. His left leg must have been forward when the broadhead hit it as it almost cut it off and the exit hole in the body is in front of the leg. The bird went about 25 yards and piled up. My favorite shot is to shoot'em in the back, but this'll do.
