Anouther Big Pit

Well over the years I have built a lot of pits for every one else, but I have never built one for myself. Time to change that, and I dont do anything half *****. Me and a buddy started on it months ago but had to put it on the back burner. We built the frame and set the tank but that was it. Here is what we have gotten done the last few nights.

Here are some more progress pics. The fire box is 1/2" and the tank is all 3/8 so once she warms up it will cook nice for a long time. I wanted to have side opening doors for more room for my slide out trays. I think the doors turned out pretty cool. If the math is correct when we are done we should have about 55 sq ft of cooking space with 3 racks on each side.

upon completion i can drive down and pick it up.
i need a bigger patio pit and i would like an open flame round pit. similar to plenty of them i see on here.

Nice idea on the doors! Nothing sucks worse than heat and smoke in your eyes when you're tryin to open up a pit!

i cant to see how well this thing will work with these style doors. I never seen one like it on a reverse flow pit.
