    What dog food?

I've got a lab that's 10 months old and trying to figure out what adult dog food is best. We are currently feeding him Pedigree puppy feed.

So let's hear it Green Screen, what do you feed your dog and why?

I feed Sports Mix to my Catahoula's. Depending on time of year, I switch between a higher protein/fat content. It is a mini chunk food and easy to digest. TSC carried it.

            Depends.
What are you doing with the dog?
            Pet, Hunting, Competing....
            Dog got food allergies?

            Here's what I fed/feed my labs.
            They're 9 & 11 so they're pets now.

            Pet - Purina One

Hunting - Arkat VF Complete or performance

            Competition- Arkat Performance.

A buddy fed Diamond in the black bag.

I try to stay away from corn. My male has grain sensitivity. Before I realized that we fed Purina Dog Chow, it has Corn as the first ingredient.
He'd always be chewing on his paws and the base of his tail plus scratch his ears a lot and they'd stink bad.
Once we switched to Purina one most of that went away.
When we fed Arkat we never had those issues. We can't find it in our area our we'd still feed it.
I tried to become a dealer when we lived in Michigan. But Diamond was the predominant food of choice for my training/hunting buddies.

Look at label Pick one with meat listed first. Try to avoid those with grain listed first corn etc. I use Kirkland lamb and rice from Costco for my Catahoula

I think Pedigree's first ingredient is corn so I'll see about finding one that preferably has a meat listed first. I don't think he has any allergies (that I'm aware of). But he does have some seriously bad gas which I haven't figured out what is causing that yet.

He is primarily an inside pet but we are working with him trying to get him ready to duck hunt next year.

My Lab has done great on her food. We buy it at Tractor Supply for $36.99 for 40# bag.
Diamond Naturals, lager breed, lamb & rice

My lacy gets Solid Gold Hund and Flocken. They make a quality product and it doesn't give him the runs.

                            Can't go wrong with:

                            science diet
                            royal canin
                            eukanuba
                            iams
                            purina pro plan

forget about what you hear about corn. Its a marketing ploy.
