OH Ivie hunting advice.

Got a few questions for anyone who has personally hunted a ranch that borders the lake. Mainly just wondering if the water effects deer movement? Like is hunting better close to the water or the further away the better ?

I've never hunted around Lake Ivie, but have fished it quite a bit. I always saw lots of deer right around the lake and roads leading up to the lake.

I hunt in Coleman but have not hunted Ivie. The genetics here are pretty good. My place is not terribly far from the colorado river. I can say in the case of the colorado, there are many more deer closer to the colorado than further, but other than that I can’t be of much help. Good luck though!

Thanks for the info I've just kinda got the mindset that the lake kinda acts as a high fence and maybe a stand and feeder set wouldn't be as productive set up 200 yards from the lake maybe as one that's half mile from the lake. Then again maybe I'm over thinking this.
