1. I wanted a game cam that I could leave in the field for months at a time and not worry about dead batteries. So I decided to run a solar panel and an external battery pack and load the camera with an 8gb card. Here are the items I needed. A Primos Truth Cam, Wildgame Innovations External Battery Pack, and an outdoor enclosure.
2. I laid the Truth Cam on a copier and made a copy of the back
3. Then I took the copy and put it on the enclosure and marked the placement of the four holes in the back of the camera.
4. I used a square to make sure I had the marks even on the enclosure.
5. Then I drilled four holes and ran bolts through
6. Then I attached the camera
7. Place the battery pack inside the enclosure and run the DC through the punch out in the bottom
8. Attach the power cord to the camera
9. I bought two gallon buckets and some paint
10. Painted them green
11. Then I cemented two 4x4s in the buckets.
12. Next I attached the camera to the 4x4s and mounted my solar panel to the top. I ran the solar panel into the battery pack by drilling a small hole in the front. After running the wires inside I plugged the hole with a piece of a wine cork and some silicone.
13. I turned everything on and tried it out.
