Default Another camper to cabin on wheels build

This has been quite the project but it couldn't have turned out better. I got the idea off here a couple years ago. The camper was water damaged and we used it at the deer lease for 5 years. Finally got tired of the leaks and falling apart around us. Started in march and got it done 2nd week of rifle season. Just in time.

Its a challenge trying to square up walls on a frame that flexes and moves every time you add something else.

The last picture with the insulation, what's holding up? Did you install some plywood underneath the frame to let it sit on?

Nice work. Did you have it weighed? Just curious how much it weighs. How does it pull behind the truck?

Really nice.

It pulls better now then it did as a travel trailer. Didn't weigh it but it's heavy. The floor is one inch plywood with a frame on top insulated and topped with 1 inch plywood. It's sturdy.

That's a nice build.

If you get tired of it, call it a tiny house and list it on CL. Yuppies will stand in line to pay you $50k for it!

I have one similar. I made it to travel on my flatbed trailer. It's very warm and cozy. Only problem is the that it pulls like a brick. Don't get in a hurry.

I have this in my mind to make one to fit my gooseneck lowboy. I would want to make it removable. This gives valuable information on construction.
