Anyone know how to kill bamboo. It was taking over my yard so I cut all the canes down and poured Round-up and bleach on the stumps. Didn't work. Shoots are still popping up all over. Dang devil weed...

You can grow it to death. Mow it every week and it will eventually die.

Bingo. Stay on top of it until the roots run out of reserves. At the end of the day, plants are solar powered. No leaves. No sun. No life.

The previous owners of my property planted some and it was spreading all over. When we built the house, I rented a mini excavator and dug up all the bamboo. Any pieces that sprouted up I kept mowed, and I am bamboo free after a year and a half.
