I've had 4 or 5 legal (AR in this county) bucks on camera on the property I hunt in Indian Gap ... most of them are young ... 2.5 and 3.5. One, however was considerable older and well scarred up from a lifetime of fighting ... a solid - but not huge - 8-point with a nice chocolaty set of antlers.
Looking at game camera photos at the end of October I could see that he was hanging out at this feeder early in the morning and was gone by sunrise each day.
I put an arrow through his ribcage on November 7 at about 6:45, about 10 minutes before sunrise.
Even though I promised myself I wasn't going to spend anymore on taxidermy until I arrowed something in the P&Y class, I couldn't help but drop him off. I asked for a full sneak mount so I hope he comes back looking like this first picture.
