I just enjoy watching football that isnt plagued with softies. College players have the motivation to play and play hard. Doesnt matter what conference, school, record, etc.. college football is where its at.

Dave is a moderator and has full reign to do what he feels is best for the board; including closing CFB week 7 and starting week 8.

Casey may be sleeping in from his adventurous weekend and long drive home.

Like many have said, the bye week comes at a good time for Texas. It looks like Sam is going to be okay and hopefully Ingram can also get healthy. Texas is ahead of schedule from were most thought they would be. They are not good enough to not take anybody seriously the rest of the way.

The defense has given up 5 scores (4 TD's, 1 FG) on opening drives out of 7 ball games. That is something I would like to see get fixed. They seem to start slow and then get settled in. The issue is against WVU, Tech, and even OSU if they start slow they could be down 14 or 21 in the blink of an eye. Hopefully that slow start gets cleaned up this week.

On a side note, I was really impressed with Brewer at Baylor. I saw he graded out as the #1 player in the game vs TX. He may very well be the best QB in the league and in the Big 12 that goes a long way in winning football games. I think Rhule is doing an outstanding job there.

Brewer is a nice player. I still give the nod to Grier, mainly due to arm strength. Rhule is doing a heck of a job!

Hopefully Sam makes it back and gets completely healthy. Does he have a timetable?

Still can't believe the longhorns control their destiny with 6 straight wins. This weekend they are a lock to not screw it up.

Maybe there is something to this Tom Herman guy.

I was surprised how much more physical BU seemed over other teams played so far. They were scrappy and on edge. I suppose this is the Rhule effect.

Brewer is **** accurate and played well when he wasn't bull rushed.

Grier has the experience as well. Every week when the position grades come up, Brewer is at the top of the charts. WVU has Baylor, Texas, TCU, OSU, and OU left.

Sam should be throwing at the end of the week. Good news is he was at ACL yesterday up on the stage with no brace on and looked fine.

He was living it up at ACL on stage wearing the Hager #60 jersey that honored Nobis... The Right arm didn't seem to be bothering him much as he saluted the crowed.

Same here, my Aggie Bride saw that we might have some sunshine on the coast last Saturday afternoon, wanted to go hunt sandollars instead of watching her Ags, I happily obliged. She woke up this morning saying she's ready to sit around a fire this weekend and see if we can't draw some blood, works for me but will find some time to watch a little cfb.

Going to be a quiet week around here!

Bye week for the Ags also, hopefully get healed up and ready for Miss St next week. Going to suck not having Wilson for the 1st half, was watching on my phone so didn’t get the best look but seems like he was trying to avoid it but of course he got flagged.

a bowl team is pretty good for them. they deserve some respect. every week that they win, it improves texas sos. what is confusing in that?

i admit their old dominion loss looks bad but they are rebounding well.

I will be watching to see how they finish. They need to win vs Illinois and Indiana cause they have #19 Iowa, #24 Michigan State, #2 Ohio State, #18 Penn State to finish out.

If they can win 6-7 games, it will be a good for Texas.

Looks like my 10-2 or 9-3 with OU being the swing game call looks pretty good right now.

I'm not scared to support my team and be positive. They are out talenting teams as they should. Clean up a few things the next two weeks and roll on.

I think the LH's were suffering from a mild RRR hangover on Saturday, therefore I don't think they brought their A-game. That, along with Sam going down made this one more "interesting" than it should have been. But, they found a way to win and that's the name of the game when you looking at the big picture. These are the types of games they have lost during the last 5 +/- years. I'm liking the progress and I'm liking what TH has done with the locker room so far this year. He's made these kids love to win!!

We had a bye this week and meet Stanford on Thursday. Home game for us. I think we can beat them. They are not playing great ball. Pac 12 after dark should be great. Ill be in South Dakota so may be out of cell range.

Ha....your wife does that to you too? Must be a universal female thing....mine does the same thing. Aggie and Cowboy games are to be watched in the garage....aka Man Cave / indoor golf ball hitting area.

I told her she has to watch DWTS in the garage from now on....her and my daughter got a little loud cheering the other night!!

This may be the friendliest CFB weekly thread of the year, Aggies and Longhorns are both on bye.

I didn't get to watch any games because we were in mexico getting ready for the opener, but after rewatching our game, we just need to get TD's when we get to the redzone. Having to settle for FG's is hampering us.
