          I guess you used the angle grinder to sand off the Oakwood. If so, what grit did you use and any tips for us copy cats?

                          The slabs were milled 18 or so months ago and have air dried in the hay barn since. The limb was cut some time back, probably a year ago and stripped, sapwood removed and sat on a pallet in the same hay barn till I got time to mess with it. The pics I posted look like it was done last week but it was actually done awhile back...

                              I have a couple of attachments made by king arthur that I put on my angle grinder that speeds up the process of removing the sapwood
