Well guess it's time!!

Time to leave my compound at the house!! The last few trips to Childress I have taken both my longbow and compound. Well after a heck of a first half of the season I'm ready to leave it at home. I passed up the first pope and young I have ever had a shot at in 15 years bc I wanted to try to get him with my longbow. I am hooked.

Just spent all night spin testing and sharpening all of my arrows. This is also going to be an extra special trip bc it will be my wife's first hunt ever. She is a Plano girl and has never been hunting. I can't wait to sit in the blind with her and show her why I love it so much. Were leaving out Friday morning early and hunting till Sunday.

Shot my compound a few times the other day and it seemed really loud and awkward! Gonna probably sell it soon to get another toy from Bob! It's addicting!
