8 Days to kill in Kansas-Live!!!!

It's finally here!!! I've been impatiently counting down the days till I'm in a tree stand in Kansas.
I made it up to North Central Kansas yesterday just in time to check out some new property and visit with a buddy from Arkansas that will be hunting with me this week. After catching up and getting a few items in town that we needed we hit the sack and barely slept in anticipation of our first hunt.
I'll try to keep it as live as I can.

I'm here all week in unit 7. Was here 2 weeks ago for a full week too.

It's breaking daylight. 33 deg, feels like 26.
I'm hunting the edge of a wheat field and a creek bottom with a big scrape line to my west.
This is one of my favorite properties to hunt and has produced some great deer in the past.

Clark, buddy from Arkansas, is across the wheat field to my west. This is our 3rd year to hunt together up here, his 6th, and you couldn't ask for a better guy to share a camp with.

Praying we both get one on the ground this week.

Good luck they are rolling I shot this one last Tuesday evening came to rattle and grunt but I did have decoy work on others as well !!

The pheasant hunters are in full swing this morning.
Just had a very healthy coyote cross the wheat field.
No deer sightings yet.
I've got a sandwich packed and will be sitting till dark. We saw a lot of deer activity yesterday evening while riding around. Several bucks cruising. Hopefully an all day sit will pay off.
