If you hunt South Texas & use 5th wheel or RV as Lodging

Considering a lease with no lodging that would require 5th wheel or Rv in the short term. Is it possible to keep rodents and illegals out? What are your counter measures?

No. Rodents will find a way in. You are better off not locking it. Illegals will usually just steal what they want and go on. If you lock it they will do damage breaking in, then steal what they want and go on.

We had a camp house that had 18" thick adobe walls. All the doors and windows had bars like a jailhouse. They found an ax and chopped a hole in one of the walls for entry.

Had a friend that would put sleeping bags and anything else he thought they would steal in a 55 gallon drum with a screw on lid ring. Left a gallon of water and cans of beans on the table. Left the camper unlocked. Another friend I hunted with locked his camper and they broke the window and stole my tennis shoes and dominoes.

It's crazy that we actually have to worry about this, and they get away with it. I say bubby trap the place, get rid of them.

Dont drag a trailer down to a deer lease thats worth more than $1500.

Open all the blinds, cabinet doors and anything else that makes for a dark space for them rodent bastages to make a nest

Put rat poison in and outside trailer. Seal up any openings you can find under the trailer.....and get used to the smell of decaying rodents!

We never locked ours or left anything in it.
