Sat nearly all day and saw quite a few deer. Last hour was pretty slow but with 15 min. Left of light I hear running foot steps, a doe ran past me. I get ready and 30 sec. Later he trots out of the tree line headed right below me. I grunt, he stops, angle is nearly straight down I turn the GT lose from the Martin recurve and burry the arrow all the way to the nocturnal . He hauls his rear end away and I think great shot. After I walk back to camp, get the truck and a light I talk up the search. No blood, find arrow 50 yds away, not good blood there either. I search for 30 min Pray that god will guide me to him the whole time. As I was thinking of the thread title on this lost deer he suddenly appears right in from of me. He made a circle, probably 100 yds and only 50 yds from the stand.
My second trad buck and my forth trad kill in 4 years.
