I think a rug would be more versatile with regard to how it can be displayed (hanging on wall or draped over desk, etc.). Although I am partial to rugs, I think wolf rugs look pretty awesome.

Wolves are killers. That's what they're made for. So it'd be an evil lookin sucker if I had one mounted. Snarling or something. Otherwise it just looks like a big dog.
