I'm going back to Cali!!!! It's a Docmay hunt!

Made it to eureka, a bit late but no problems. Got some dinner and had to pick up groceries. On to the ranch now. Outfitter is a fabulous guy! I'll try to get the pics rolling when things get going. It's been a whirlwind of travel so far!

I can tell you the the pot growing culture leads to some interesting people watching up here. Apparently there is a whole homeless/hippy type group that camps and lives in the forests and then goes to the marijuana farms to cut the buds. I didn't know all this. It's like grunge central driving through beautiful forest and along a river you would want to cast a fly. Welcome to California!

Same thing on the beaches. We were told to stay away from one because thats were all the homeless, pot head hippy beggars stayed.

I also could never just bust through a rest room door. Gotta open the door slow and check for urinals.

It's a beautiful place full of fish but a different world for sure.

I'm up and ready to go! Just bowhunting. Brought my Hoyt defiant and Mathews Halon in the same case! I hope the behaved. If not, might have some mutant offspring and end up with a bowtech!!!!!! We are going to ride and glass this am. Hunt will be a combo of spot and stalk and stands. Should be good.
