    Bob Hall Pier?

Going to be that direction with the family. How's the fishing? Species to target? I have a good bit of experience fishing the piers in Florida and have the gear for everything from pompano to kings.

Any tips or suggestions for the kids to catch something? Thanks!

it will probably be forced to close- no beach access is what I'm hearing

I went years ago and only managed a few catfish and some spade fish.

Nothing like what we saw people catching in Florida.

A few big drum and shark are caught but not when I was there a week in a similar time of the year.

Haven’t fished bob hall in years but night time fishing with live shrimp is hard to beat around mid section of the pier. If the water clarity is decent there should be trout galore. Big spoons should do the trick on kingfish towards the T.

It really all depends if the water is good and that can change in an instant if the wind picks up.

The wind has been pretty stout out here the last few days.

Saw a fisherman haul one up earlier today, it drew a little crowd whatever it was. Was the only bent rod I saw today, but didn’t watch the pier all day either.

Do the waves break all the way past the end when the surf is up?

They can but shouldn’t for the next 3-4 days, weather is suppose to calm a bit.

Fish the 1st and second gut at night. Popping cork about 3-4ft line with pinch wt about a foot above live shrimp.

News reported it will be open. I’m sure some sort of restrictions will be in place if that’s the case. But everyone knows you can’t catch COVID while fishing! Good luck!!

That is great news. Should be good weekend under the lights. Like said live shrimp at edge of lights.

I’m not sure how it’s going to be open since this is the main road going to it.

                              That roadblock sucks!

How's the surf? Many people around?
