I think just hitting the paper should be my goal....especially when moving farther back.

My Monday shot ended up between Friday and Saturday on the paper target! A big, fat ZERO! I was too embarrassed to post it...until today.



I know DRT said to skip the days that you don't shoot, but I'm going to shoot to catch up today....as there is no one in danger of losing to me!

Yeah, let's see what the longer distances bring. I've onle shot 30yds a few times and never past that. Now that I'm trying string walking and my new tab it's going to get interesting. Not even sure how to aim it but we'll see.

In the hope of changing my luck on this challenge, I switches bows from my TradTech Trident recurve to my Omega Imperial longbow this morning and was toting my arrows in the plains style quiver that my buddy Mike just finished for me. Thanks Mike!

The 15 yard shot for Tuesday was close and scored 3 points.



All the rest were out of bounds scoring all zeroes.

Wednesday shot from 20 yards is left




Thurday shot from 25 yards, left and low



Friday shot from 30 yards is low and in the hay



The tally so far:

A little better after warming up. Six shots from 15 yards. I was aiming for the middle circle/dot.

Hit the soft spot, and punched through the rubber mat backing.
Might be time to do some foam repair on my target butt.

So I brought the portable block target to Arkansas, found an open field where nobody ran me off, shot the shot, and scored ...... ZERO.

Stuck on 13. Practiced a couple from 35, though; hit the target and everything. Ready for tomorrow

so it would have time to cure well over the weekend.

That being the case I went ahead, and shot my Saturday shot today (Friday),
which DQ's me. Don't matter anyway, cuz I shot low for a zero.

Good shooting this week fellers.

WooHoo! I got another goose egg but I'm excited about hitting the paper at that range. I was on the phone with White Falcon when I made the shot. I think he could hear my excitement. I actually thought I'd scored but when I got to the target it was just outside. [emoji16]
