Got a call from a good buddy from high school that his step dad was throwing out a stand and he thought I would like it since I was the only one that was into hunting and what not during our high school days. Went and picked it up and this is what I had to work with.
Simple climber stand that his stepdad built. I checked the welds and bolts to make sure they were all good and felt like I needed to add some support since im a pretty big guy. Went to HD and got $20 worth of 1/8" cable, some cable clamps and a can of rustoleum bedliner spray.
Installed the cables for extra support on the floorpan and up on the tree to prep for paint
After paint.
Overall im fairly happy with the results and gonna let it hang in the backyard for a few days to try to cut down on the paint odor and ready to hunt!
Always nice being able to get free things to work with on a tight college budget.
