They are saying the 2020 is 0-60 in 3.0 seconds. Current 2019 Stingray is 3.7 seconds. Current 2019 Z06 is 2.95. SO you are getting Z06 0-60 time in a $60,000 Stingray. This may be interesting.

I kind of hope this deters some people from buying one.

Styling isn't my favorite yet but it's growing on me. And the mid engine is from what I understand because they found the "limit" with a front engine RWD car in the previous gen. I'm not surprised they made the change.

And if you've been in or driven the current generation vette. Especially a zr1 you know they are absolute monsters.

A mid engine high performance car for 60K? I really don't care what you call it, that's a heck of a deal for everything your getting. If you haven't ever pushed a mid or rear engine car around the curves it's a night and day difference in handling.

The GM engineers have wanted to move this car to mid-engine since the 70's and it is finally reality, the car looks amazing! Everyone will have complaints but to have a mid engine supercar that is in reach of the hard working man is a giant accomplishment. Sure it is not as refined as the cars that cost 3-4 times as much, should be expected.

The electronics feel a bit dated but I love the driver focused cockpit, it looks to feel like a cozy space with so much awesome at your fingertips!

I have had two Corvettes in the past, this car has me wanting another. My wife gave me the 'dont you do it look' during the launch event last night!

For some reason this body style is my favorite. I like the long nose and sharp lines.
It's hard to imagine a Corvette without the nose.....

I have never owned one. Being 5'19" tall the cabin isn't quite roomy enough for me
I'd love to own one. Maybe someday

Corvette was meant to be a GT car, comparable to Aston Martins, and a thing of beauty. Corvette nailed the looks until 1982, then nailed it again for the C6. Then they went full Transformers.

The C7 looks terrible, as does this new car. They created is just another run of the mill track car that will never see a track, where as they had a car that could be used for its intended purpose every weekend, on a windy road.

Why is everyone surprised? ( not here necessarily but in general)

Every vehicle that had been “brought back” or updated has looked nothing like the original.

I don’t care for it since it looks nothing like an actual corvette.

of course the gt is 400,000 dollars if the Vette is really 60,000 that’s quite a deal!

I was surprised they stayed with the 6.2 & need to read up more on the LT2 to see what all changed internally with the NA LT1...I was thinking a smaller higher revving dohc was gonna be dropped in, but actually kinda tickled they stayed the course. Will be fun to see future Z06 & ZR1 platforms!!

Also kinda blown away they went with a DCT tranny like the GT500 (A8 & A7 but both dct) vs the A10 they both spent so much $$$$ on jointly & also both have no Manual in a either at launch??!! Times are changing for sure.

I'm really happy with what gm did & do like the lines but agree it's sorta lost her vetty looks...heck, I was kinda irked when the C7 didn't keep the round tail lights!! Maybe the next gen Camaro ZL1 can inherit the 755hp LT5 the current ZR1 has as a hand me down now??

I saw where the 2019 was 60K. I didn't see a price on the 2020.

I never like the mid year vettes. I like this one. Looks like a real sports car.

The $60k start is what I've seen being reported, although I doubt many dealers will be ordering without 'some' options adding cost for the showroom. I guess you could always order an entry level if price point was an issue. I tried to do a build online but looks like the site is overloaded & couldn't confirm a start cost.

Doesn't look like the mag ride is standard & you would want that for sure in a car of this caliber...it's freak'n amazing.

GM knocked it out of the park with this one. The only negative is the lack of a manual transmission. Hopefully, that option is reintroduced with later models.

There wasn't an option 2 years ago when they put thier money down. They are still manufacturing the front engine vets also in 2020.

After watching the video of the Lamborghini Huracan from another thread, I had to look up that double clutch automatic.

The cheapest I saw one was around $13K...used. If you could get 495 baseline hp wrapped around that in the package portrayed, it'd be a steal at $60K.

I am to retire in October...........hmmmm, might have to work a few more months.

I can't imagine they'd be cheap...even GMs, but it sure seems like it would beat any standard tranny by a longshot.

That may be one of the ugliest cars I have ever seen posted on here.

I’ve never been a corvette guy but the last few years have been good looking. This new one has peaked my interest.

1957 though 1966 or so are beautiful. 70’s to 90’s are no go.

Been waiting on this for years.....I’m a fan! I believe Chevy scored huge with this dramatic change. Traded in my C5 earlier this year for a C7 and it’s the best I’ve ever owned. I still have plans to get a 67 C2 in the next two years and will look at the C8 when I replace the C7.
