TBH BLOOD DOG TRACKING, TRAINING, & RECOVERY Thread

I just picked this guy up a week ago. Going to start him on blood on my next day off.

I named him Trigger. He is going to be the family pet and hopefully earn his keep by tracking for me.

It's been tough out west. Had one today fight my dog off and I never could get a shot. 1st time that has ever happened. He will live.

My 1 yr old beagle Charlie with his first recovery this morning. After a short track she was actually still alive, he ran her up and down the Lampasas river for about 200 yds until he bayed her up against a fence. I got there and finished her off with the Glock! Craziest track job ever for me.

Y'all ever have your dog blood track their own blood? This crazy dog snagged her ear on an agave and left a blood trail all over the yard. After I had her ear super glued back together she put her nose to the ground and drug me threw the yard on her own blood trail. Showed me where the blood started on the agaves


The amount if blood coming off the ear is insane. And then she had to shake her head and get the blood flowing again!

Diamond, Got her third of the year. Had a little trouble getting started. Deer was shot under the feeder and then 10 deer came back in and finished off the corn. Lots of deer scent.

After getting her back on the blood under the feeder we were headed in the right direction. Next to no blood. She found the deer about 100 yds out. The deer was gun shot a little high and back. Not really a bad shot, just not a bleeder.

GUMBO on the Board!

We put Gumbo on his first track last week.

It was a short track through waist high buffelgrass.

He did well.
