Default Middle School Football Question

My boy will be playing 7th grade football this year (His First Year) and he requires glasses. My question is, are prescription safety glasses or contacts better?

I just played without my glasses in middle school. I can't imagine playing in glasses though.

Ive had contacts since the 5th grade and always (still do) play with them. Couldnt imagine playing in glasses.. have him take an extra pair and give to a trainer or coach to put in their pocket. at the worst time, one will fall out and itll be heck trying to play with one contact in.

I played with glasses in middle school. It was horrible. Bite the bullet and get the goggles.

I'm 52 but played high school ball with the old Chuck Muncie style sport glasses...no problems other than fogging up on the rare cold night in N. Louisiana.

The sports glasses/goggles made today are much better.

Contacts

It’ll take a few days to adjust to putting them in but will make a world of difference. I started wearinf contact’s in 5th grade as glasses bother me while playing sports.

Contacts - My youngest has been wearing contacts since he started the 4th grade.

He did not like playing sports in glasses or sport goggles

I played right tackle. My primary job was to hit anyone with a different colored shirt. No glasses or contacts needed.
