    Found this Gem

Stumbled onto this old photo last night unpacking my parents at their new house. My great grandpa with a pretty solid bow buck circa 1960s.

He was a great hunter and like most of the good ones an even better story teller. I would sit in the floor in front of the fireplace and listen to him tell hunting stories until I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. What I would give for just one more of those nights.

He killed several giant bucks but as far as he was concerned a big buck was the one that weighed the most. 90 percent of the racks he had ended up hanging from a tree or given to anyone that wanted them. "Can't eat horns" ya know.

Awesome pic. High shoulder shot on such a nice buck with traditional equipment is pretty cool.
